The recognition of pitfalls is of great interest to both the novice and the expert. Every experienced reader has seen some unusual pitfall, and in this chapter we share some examples. Certain categories of pitfalls are covered in prior chapters as well, e.g., mobile pedunculated polyps in Chap. 15, diminutive polyps in Chap. 16, flat lesions in Chaps. 9 and 17, and stool or diverticula-related pitfalls in Chap. 18
