Abstract
Wedges, good balancing, and good polar alignment are fundamental to the serious imager. In this chapter, essential wedge features for easy adjustment are discussed, and hints are given about how to set up a wedge prior to mounting the telescope. The importance of accurate balancing and how that can be achieved are also discussed.
