ROBERT SCHWARTZ: Ian Domowitz and I go way back, starting as professors together. Within a year of each other, we each made a big move in our academic careers – I went to Baruch, and Ian went to Penn State. Over the years, we have agreed on many things and have also disagreed many times. But as always, Professor Ian Domowitz’s presentations and arguments are most interesting and very informative. You will not be disappointed today. Ian, my friend, welcome.
IAN DOMOWITZ: Thank you, Bob. As many of you know, Bob performs his magic every year. He manages to bring the right people to this conference, often at the most appropriate time. Not everybody may know that Bob is perhaps not just the father of market structure in the context of academic literature. He may actually be a grandfather! History plays a major role in anything that Bob brings to the table.
