The city instituted a wireless communications system that allows data, pictures, and other information to be provided to officers on patrol and fire fighters in transit to an emergency. The sophisticated system allows personnel to view traffic cameras so they can often determine the situation before arriving on the scene. The system allows patrol, officers to have access to wireless data system providing information equivalent to that at the station. It permits reports to be completed by officers in the field.
