Abstract
Slide 8, which describes your go-to-market strategy, tells investors how you plan to capture market share and grow your business. Notes
- 1.
Notice that this example opening starts in the second person plural (“our”) and not in the first person (“my”). Minimize the use of first person references (I, my, mine, etc.). Investors view CEOs who are too self-centered as more difficult to work with. They far prefer team players who give credit to and share credit with others. The language you use in your presentation can reveal if you are in one category or another. Be careful and be sure to record yourself and seek critical comments from others (especially professional coaches) to tune the words and mannerisms that you use.
