Abstract

Throughout this book, we’ve been talking about users and user testing as the bedrock of all things truly usable. I don’t know about you, but a great many designers will take all that business about user testing with a very large pinch of salt. They know their market inside out — they’re constantly talking to potential users, and there’s nothing you can’t tell them about what that person wants. If you push them for an answer, they’ll tell you user testing’s just a pointless luxury — a waste of time and money.
