Abstract

This chapter describes the various mechanical principles and techniques used in constructing LEGO robots. A number of structures will be introduced, followed by examples of using special pieces such as gears, pulleys, and the differential. Builders who have spent years constructing LEGO Technic models will find many of the procedures to be second nature already. However, those unfamiliar with these special pieces will find many helpful hints in the material.
