Dynamic Drawing

  • Chad Corbin

Macromedia Flash MX includes a whole host of new features that allow us to dynamically draw shapes at runtime, without needing to duplicate movie clips or attach movies from the Library. This is a huge step forward for Flash as an animation and application programming environment because it gives us the power to create dynamic effects in timeline-based movies, or create single frame movies that are built entirely from ActionScript. Fortunately, the engineers at Macromedia have made it much easier for us to tap into this new capability by providing us with new ActionScript methods.
