Meet the ActiveX Data Objects (ADO) Data Wizard

  • John Connell

In this chapter were going to give you a sneak preview of some of the things that you can do with ADO to display data from a database. We’re doing this to give you a taste of how the data in Biblio.mdb looks, to demonstrate how easy data access can be, and to show off some of the formatting tools available in ADO. When we’ve looked at these, we’re going to get our hands nice and oily by really getting under the hood of VB/database interactions for a few chapters. This way, we can return to ADO later in the book and set about using it in an informed and sophisticated way.
