Abstract

In simple terms, making a selection around an area of an image allows you to limit any changes you make to within that selected area of the image. It doesn’t take a lot of imagination to realize that by altering smaller areas of an image — say a person’s hair — rather than the whole image, you’ll be able to achieve much more with Photoshop.
