I used to be a studio artist, pure and simple. Paint, brushes, charcoal, and pencils were all I knew. I’d dabbled in sculpture and ceramics as part of my course as a studio art undergraduate, but in the spring of 1999 my arsenal of artistic weapons was limited to the traditional tools. It wasn’t until then that I began to take notice of graphic design, and my work was transformed.
