As promised, I didn’t start out this book with a dry lesson on Objective‑C. You dove right in and started creating apps—and I think that’s fantastic. The fact that Xcode empowers even novice programmers to design and create quality iOS apps opens a world of possibilities. But you don’t want to stay a novice forever. You don’t get the good seats in the monastery’s dining hall, and there’s never any fan mail. I’m not saying that reading this one chapter will turn you into an Objective‑C guru, but it should definitely up your game.
