Abstract
This chapter introduces the latest trends in capacity management that enable cloud providers to perform capacity management with the highest level of maturity. These trends include predictive trends in capacity calculations, while self learning systems add intelligence, automation, and accuracy. Concepts like yield management help service providers in selling the right capacity with the right resources. Further, trends like VM sprawl management are discussed in this chapter. VM sprawl is one of the areas of concern in virtualized environments.
