Abstract

If you need to use Office professionally on your iPad, you’re probably raring to get going. This brief chapter provides the essentials to get you up and running with the Office apps on your iPad. The chapter starts by making sure we’re on the same page by recapping what Office for iPad is and what you can do with the apps. It then goes through how to download, install, and activate the apps on your iPad. The chapter then covers essential moves such as launching apps, switching among apps, and closing apps when necessary. You’ll also learn how to choose settings for the apps and how to reset them when you run into problems. At the end of this chapter, I’ll suggest an approach to the thorny problem of sharing an iPad with other people.
