Abstract

They won’t call you just because you think you’re all that and a bag of tricks. really, they won’t. Even after they’ve screened your resume, cover letter, online profile, blog, and shared ideas across open-source sites, and even if you’ve got the IT and business skills they’re looking for. If you’re not making your business case, you’re not getting the job. Being a jack-of-all-trades generalist and a best-practice-touting man or woman about town doesn’t hold the same cachet it used to have.
