Building Extensible Data-Driven Web Applications Using Dynamic Data
To be honest, many front-end developers in the world of .NET hate it when it comes to writing queries against a database and figuring out if the data is consistent with the state of the application. They are more content working within the limits of Visual Studio and would line up to get their hands on a tool that would let them access relational data without having to write SQL queries. They are also pretty happy operating on data in memory using their language of choice, be it C#, VB, or LINQ, but not SQL. This is primarily due to the fact that each native relational database has its own flavor of SQL, and it is simply overwhelming to try and learn each one of them.
