Abstract
The implementation of a cloud is not simple. In this chapter, I will cover building a cloud and examine some of the technologies and concepts used. Most of the attention will be on the concerns of the cloud provider. The discussion applies equally to private, public, community, and hybrid clouds. It also applies to IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS, although some aspects of implementation differ between types of service offerings.
