What Can Make My Life Easier?

Abstract

When it comes to writing code, you can, in theory, use any text-based application. You could even use something like Word to write it, if you really wanted to. Of course, that wouldn’t be the best of ideas, since Word hasn’t been designed for writing code at all, and the features could impact negatively on your development (with the addition of styles and hidden characters, for example). Some people prefer to use basic text editors, such as Notepad on Windows, TextEdit on Mac, or even gedit on Ubuntu, as they’re really basic editors and their features don’t compromise your ability to develop.
