The purpose of this chapter is to extract the key guiding principles from each from the preceding chapters. As I said in the introduction, SharePoint, like all technology, is constantly changing. I have worked on four versions of it now and have had to learn new technology and features each time. Luckily, I’ve been able to take the most important and hard-won lessons from version to version. This means that the lessons here will be useful to you now and in the future, no matter how the application changes.
