Abstract

In the SSIS, the datat flow is your primary tool for moving data from point A to B and manipulating it along the way. The data flow is a powerful concept that allows you to encapsulate data movement and transformation as a self-contained task of the control flow. The data flow moves your data from a source to a destination, like King Solomon’s river moves water from its sources to the sea. This chapter introduces the data flow and discusses data flow source adapters, destination adapters, and the new Source and Destination Assistants.
