Entering and Editing Text in Your Documents

  • Guy Hart-Davis

Abstract

In this chapter, we’ll look at how to work quickly with text in your Word documents by using the extra features that Word provides. We’ll start by creating a document. We’ll then go over three ways to enter text quickly in documents: by inserting the contents of a file, by using the AutoText feature, and by creating formatted AutoCorrect entries. We’ll move along to selecting text and navigating through your documents before delving into how to tell Word where to find your templates and how to make Word automatically create backups of your documents in case things go wrong.
