Abstract

Agile development has become increasingly popular in recent years. It is an approach to computer programming that maintains working in programming teams of two can in fact be more productive than having programmers work in isolation. This concept of working in teams of two has its opponents as well, and there are some who may think two programmers working on the same machine at the same time is actually a waste of development time. First, let’s look at some of the basic principles of agile development. Then we will look at the use of the products and tools mentioned in this chapter’s title and how they can be used to implement these principles.
