Abstract

Dynamic Actions are one of the most popular new features in APEX 4.0. They allow developers to declaratively define actions based on browser events. This chapter will cover all aspects of Dynamic Actions including the Create wizard, modifying a Dynamic Action, and how Dynamic Actions can integrate with each other. The chapter is divided into three main sections. It will first compare the old manual way of client-side manipulating using custom JavaScript to a Dynamic Action. The second section will cover all the options and features available with Dynamic Actions. A detailed example using multiple Dynamic Actions is covered in the last section.
