Social Network Integration

  • Heather Wright-Porto

Abstract

In the last chapter you learned how to add share buttons to the bottom of your blog posts to let your blog readers quickly and easily share your content with others, and by doing so, hopefully bring new visitors to your blog. Now we’ll expand on this topic. Twitter and Facebook are the most popular social networking sites, so let’s use them to help drive traffic to your site. We’ll create Twitter and Facebook accounts, in case you don’t already have them, and add Facebook and Twitter widgets to your blog. And we’ll configure Facebook and Twitter settings so when you post to your blog, your Facebook and Twitter accounts will automatically update without you having to do a thing! This saves you valuable time and effort in managing your blog, Facebook, and Twitter. Post once and all three accounts are updated.
