Abstract
The Blend IDE has a number of tools that allow you to connect data values (from a variety of sources) to user interface components. Formally speaking, this process is termed data binding and is supported in both the WPF and Silverlight1 APIs (although each API has slightly differing levels of data binding support). In this chapter, you will examine a number of Expression Blend data binding techniques, and some related coding techniques as well.
And as you will see in Chapter 7, the Windows Phone 7 programming model also supports data binding.
