Six Bookmarks on Windows Mobile

  • Matthew Baxter-Reynolds

Abstract

In this chapter, I haven’t shown you how to build the Windows Mobile application, but I have taken you through the code, which you can download from http://code.multimobiledevelopment.com/. With Microsoft deprecating the platform, it’s unlikely any of you will be looking to start new development on Windows Mobile; however, it’s very likely that a good number of you have Windows Mobile code that you need to migrate over. The main difference to look out for is a lack of synchronous calling capability on network requests—if you are doing any network communications, this will need to be changed. The second large difference is that the user interface is essentially not migratable—you’re going to have to rebuild your user interface from scratch.
