Abstract

In this chapter, you’ll learn how to build and evaluate a +5 VDC linear voltage-regulated power supply, which is used to provide a consistent voltage to chips, sensors, and circuits. Although some robots, such as low-voltage solar robots, can accept a varying voltage, most require a power supply such as the one presented in this chapter.
