How Do I Improve the Look of Text and Links?

When designing a website, your first thoughts are usually of images, color scheme, and other decorative elements. The text content probably comes low down on your list of priorities. After all, getting many clients to provide the actual text is like squeezing blood from a stone. Yet, in the vast majority of sites, text is usually the most important element. Visitors are in search of information, and that information is more often than not presented as text.
