In previous chapters, you looked at the large features of the Sugar platform. Chapter 2 focused on the MVC framework, such as how requests are handled, how you can control the output to the user, and how to interact with the database layer. Chapter 3 showed you the metadata framework, which provides a way to build the common views of the application (namely the DetailView, EditView, and ListView) with ease and consistency. Then in Chapter 4, you looked at how you can use Web Services by consuming them within your Sugar instance, as well as how you can expose Web Services from your Sugar instance to be consumed by other applications.
