Abstract

In this chapter, you will learn how to describe your hardware platform to simulate physical hardware with software using the extensible emulator of the .NET Micro Framework. You will learn how to write and use custom emulators. You will learn how to configure an emulator using code and then configure it using XML emulator configuration files; I’ll also explain how to compare these two methods. In this chapter, I’ll describe all the rich configuration features available to you, covering detailed configuration files, debugging custom emulators, and, finally, advanced configuration options.
