Resources, Globalization, and Localization
This chapter covers, first of all, the kinds of resources you can use with the .NET Micro Framework and how to use them. After that, I’ll cover how to write multilingual .NET Micro Framework applications on small devices for an international market. Then I’ll introduce the concept of cultures and how you can add more cultures to a .NET Micro Framework application. Finally, I’ll explain how to print dates, times, and numbers appropriate for particular cultures (called globalization), as well as how to use satellite assemblies to isolate and embed translated resources (called localization).
