Abstract

An oil pipeline transports a product from the drilling facility to the processing facility to storage tanks and, ultimately, to your gas tank or heater. The oil goes from a raw, unprocessed form to the finished product. Applying that metaphor to media creation, we have a pipeline of tools, standards, and interactions that delivers the media from its raw, conceptual stage, through development and production, into postproduction, and ultimately as a finished product for our loving audiences to enjoy.
