Abstract
Blender has three components that support compositing: the 3D view, the nodebased compositor, and the nonlinear video sequencer. Figure 10-1 shows the relationship to these three components and their pipeline. For the purposes of this chapter, consider that the compositor may pull in image assets or the 3D view scene, manipulate those images or video, and either save its results directly to a file (creating a new image asset) or pass on its results to the sequencer.
