Abstract

Now that we’ve had a decent look at all Ext JS has to offer, it’s time to dive right into our applications, starting with OrganizerExt. In this chapter we’ll get our first real-world example of Ext JS in action. We’ll learn how to construct a relatively complex UI, how to create data stores, and how to bind them to various UI components. We’ll explore one way to structure an Ext JS application, and we’ll get a taste of Gears in action underneath it all. In the end we’ll have a fairly useful little application that should give you a good grounding in working with Ext JS in a realistic way.
