Abstract

With Visual Studio 2008 and XNA Game Studio 3.0 installed on your machine, you are now ready to explore game development with a hands-on approach. However, before you begin focusing on Zune-specific programming techniques, you should understand how XNA games work. This chapter deals with the fundamental knowledge required to produce any XNA game, focusing on the major pieces of an XNA game and program flow. Of course, if you are already comfortable developing games with the XNA Framework, you may want to skip ahead to the next chapter.
