Managing Portal Users

Portals are always created, owned, and managed by specific organizations, and the portal we created in the last chapter should be no exception to this rule. So now you’ll learn to define an organization within your portal and manage the users within that organization. More specifically, you will learn to
  • Create an organization, establish its details, and add multiple locations to it

  • Create users, user groups, and a user with administrator privileges

  • Set password policies and user-authentication options

  • Set mail hosts and notification-mail templates

  • Edit the settings of the default plugins available to users

  • Create user communities and associate users with those communities
