ADO.NET Data Services Development

In the last chapter we focused on providing an introduction to how to query data services. However, you probably want to have more than just querying capabilities for your service. ADO.NET Data Services provides support to enable Create, Update, and Delete (CUD) operations. Also, often complex data services require business logic to be executed against resources. Instead of writing this logic directly into the underlying data source, developers can transfer this to the ADO.NET Data Services layer, which is then executed whenever a CUD operation is performed. This can be used to restrict data that is exposed by the service and to ensure data integrity.
