Abstract

You’ve probably already started reading about .NET. Perhaps in magazine articles, perhaps on Microsoft’s site. You may have attended Developer Days or another conference. Even if this book is your first exposure to .NET, you’ve undoubtedly begun to ask some critical questions:
  • How soon do I need to learn about this technology?

  • Is it something our company should deploy right away or should we wait?

  • Under what scenarios should we deploy this technology?

  • How much will it cost to train our people on this new technology?

  • How much of an improvement (if any) will it bring to our particular applications?

  • Should I port my existing applications?
