Abstract

There are three types of stored procedures available in SQL Server 2000: system, extended, and user-defined. This chapter concentrates on system stored procedures. Extended stored procedures are covered in Chapter 10, and the basics of user-defined stored procedures are covered in Chapter 11. The book concludes with Chapters 13 and 14, which tie all these topics together via extensive examples.
