Web Services Models

  • William L. OellermannJr.

Some people consider an application model to be the application architecture. I prefer to draw a distinction between the two. I treat architecture as a set of rules established for an entire system or solution. We looked at the architecture for Web services in Chapter 2, which laid out a foundation for us. However, we aren’t far enough along to jump into application design yet. We first need to model the solution. This pre-design component is what I will refer to as our model.
