Abstract
In this chapter, we will present the development of an ASP.NET Human Resources Information System, referred to as the HRIS in the remainder of the chapter. While the HRIS application is central to most organizations, it is often visible only to a dedicated Human Resources department. So before we go on to the technical implementation details let’s take a step back and look at exactly what an HRIS is and what functionality we will provide in our Wrox intranet HRIS.
