Abstract

At the turn of the twentieth century, George Eastman, the founder of Kodak, coined the phrase “You press the button, we do the rest” to promote his company and, for over a hundred years, most of us have had no alternative to turning our film over to a photo lab for our pictures to be developed. Now digital technology has liberated us. Digital cameras, scanners, PCs, and photoediting software can give you complete control over the whole photographic process.
