Abstract

.NET is a brand new technology, so it would be naïve for me to assume that my readers are all expert.NET programmers. On the other hand, if I bloviated on all the.NET details, this book would easily eclipse 1000 pages. Therefore, in this chapter, I will only cover a few of the most critical concepts.

“Certainly, in the topsy-turvy world of heavy rock, having a good solid piece of wood in your hand is often useful.”

—Ian Faith (This is Spinal Tap) speaking on the importance of a dependable set of tools.
