Now that you have seen the big picture in regard to the .NET Remoting Framework and learned some of the core terminology, we can finally dive into the details. In this chapter, you see how to implement the concepts introduced in the previous chapter, including how to build well-known objects and client-activated objects, how to influence the runtime’s Leasing Distributed Garbage Collector, and how to create sponsor objects. You also learn how to build several different types of server applications for hosting remotable objects, including Window services and ASP.NET.
