Abstract

Active Directory is Microsoft’s directory service for domains. It replaces the older domain controller concept. As such, it combines both the directory and the control functionality. This chapter is not particularly concerned about Active Directory per se, but focuses more on the Active Directory Service Interface (ADSI) that allows you to manipulate data stored in Active Directory.
