The nature of information access is undergoing a quiet revolution. As the World Wide Web has become available to consumers around the world via their home computers, a similar type of network is emerging that eliminates the need for a computer or wires to access the Web. As this network emerges, more and more users are accessing Internet content through wide-area radio networks, such as those commercially deployed by the major telecommunications companies.
