Working with XML

Abstract

As authors, we thought no one would buy this book unless we included a chapter on Extensible Markup Language (XML). Seriously, XML is a topic of such extreme importance that it seems impossible to write anything about programming these days without covering XML, and it’s certainly true to say that XML is absolutely essential in many areas of.NET: Web Services, document management, client-side data manipulation, Biztalk, and so on. XML is also a mandatory feature of every ASP.NET project if only because.NET configuration files are XML documents. Later chapters examine the role of XML in project configuration and in Web Services.
