Loading and Transforming Data

Abstract

One of your most common tasks as a DBA is loading data from external sources. Although you normally do this when you first populate a database, you frequently need to load data into various tables throughout the life of a production database. Traditionally, DBAs have used the SQL*Loader utility to load data from flat files into the Oracle database tables.
