Abstract

You can create an Oracle database as part of the Oracle software installation process in both Windows and UNIX versions. The Oracle Universal Installer provides several templates for database creation, including the decision-support system (DSS) and online transaction processing (OLTP) templates. You can also invoke the Oracle Database Configuration Assistant (DBCA), a GUI tool, which will guide you through the installation process.
