Abstract

Pointers are without a doubt the biggest reason non-C++ programmers fear C++. In fact, most people I know who have tried to learn C++ and quit, have quit because of pointers. Now don’t get me wrong, pointers are an advanced computing concept. Nevertheless, once you have mastered pointers, you will have conquered the steepest part of the C++ learning curve.
